English The Matura project Sonnenserver is about the improvement of a photovoltaic system. The solar server All-in-One system offers a reliable alternative to conventional photovoltaic systems. The revolutionary PoE (=Power over Ethernet) is used to achieve the maximum efficiency of the PV system. The solar server system is currently installed in the community office of Diex (prototype) and was made available to this project team for the purpose of the diploma thesis. The aim of this project is to improve user friendliness. In particular, a new web interface will be integrated and the usability in general will be made easier in order to make this product, which is currently marketed by s.t.a.r-systems, more accessible to more customers.
.
The company s.t.a.r.-systems GmbH is specialized in the development of software & hardware systems for mapping business processes with locations in Diex and Klagenfurt am Wörthersee. The innovative software and hardware products consist of specially developed modules, which are individually assembled for customers from all over Carinthia.
The s.t.a.r-systems GmbH provided the Sonnenserver-project team with hardware parts for the project. Furthermore, the company financed the entire project and DI Franz Stebe highly assisted the members of this project in doing the scheduled operations in time. The members of the Sonnenserver-project are very grateful and feel honoured to be supported by s.t.a.r-system GmbH in this complicated diploma project.
The community of Diex, represented by Bgm. Anton Napetschnig and Mag. Yvonne Stuck, provided the Sonnenserver-project-team with a location for the existing Sonnenserver-system. At that location, which is in the community office in Diex, all of the necessary testing of the project was made.
The splitter is separating the data transmission and the power supply from PoE-cable. This makes it possible that a PC is able to use the system. But, the splitter alone is not very user-friendly. The user has to go down to the Sonnenserver and turn on powered device manually. Therefore, a button was integrated. As a result, the user is able to start the powered device (PC) easy on workplace.
The circuit allows the user to press between the pulses and still start the detection. This means that the Sonnenserver is now more user-friendly because the community employees no longer have to leave their workstation to activate the Sonnenserver and get energy from the Sonnenserver to use the PC. In addition, the integration of the button in the circuit allows the staff to work outside of the normal working schedule. The combination of a new web interface and improved splitter makes it possible to integrate a better energy management system.
Additionally, to the improvement of the usability, the project team decided that the new circuit board which will be integrated in the splitter-casing, also needs a new splitter casing in order to match the entire design of the Sonnenserver better.
For this matter a SolidWorks drawing was made which fulfilled every detail of the design standards of the Sonnenserver All-in-One system. This ne designed casing fits both the first circuit board for the separation of data and power (PoE-circuit) and the circuit for the improvemt of the usability. Moreover, the new splittter casing was fitted with new louvres for a better air-circulation for the cooling of the circuits.
The second major part of the Project is the integration of a new and totally re-made webinterface. With this webinterface the user should be able to see all the necessary data in real-time. Which means, no annoying waiting time anymore. Furthermore, an automized energy-management-system will be integrated in the webinterface which will make it possible to change schedule of work. Henceforth, every user is able to change the working-schedule if he/sche needs to work on a different time.
Improving and expanding of the webinterface visualization. It is meant to be expanded by the following features.
-Automated energy-management (time-controlled schedule for the devices)
-Produced power of the pv-panel, overview of the battery-status and the power
with-drawn from the national grid – visible in the webinterface
-Consumption and power savings – displayed in charts
