Das Global Positioning System (GPS) ist aus unserem Alltag nicht mehr wegzudenken. Das in den 70er Jahren, von dem Amerikanischen Verteidigungsministerium entwickelte System, kann heute überall eingesetzt werden. Von einer entspannenden Wanderung, bis zu einer aufregenden Segeltour im Mittelmeer ,kann man jederzeit seinen Standort mittels GPS-Gerätes abrufen. Unsere Aufgabe ist es, eine Aufsteckplatine für unser myPic zu entwickeln, auf der sich ein GPS Empfänger Modul befindet. Diese Aufsteckplatine, auch Piggyback genannt, soll in den kommenden Jahren im Laborunterricht eingesetzt und ein fixer Bestandteil des Unterrichtes werden. Die empfangenden Satellitendaten werden über den myPic auf einen USB-Stick gespeichert. Mit diesen Daten können wir nun unsere gewanderte, gefahrene oder vielleicht auch unsere gesegelte Strecke am Computer reproduzieren.
Abstract
Global Positioning System, known as GPS is an indispensable part of our everyday lives. The in the 70s, by the U.S. Department of Defence, developed system can be used everywhere today. From a relaxing walk to an exciting sailing trip in the Mediterranean, you can always determine your location by using GPS equipment. Our task is to develop a daughterboard, witch contains a GPS receiver modul for our myPic. This daughterboard, also called piggyback is used in the coming years in the laboratory instruction and this will be an integral part of the lesson. The receiving satellite data is stored on the myPic and after that it will be stored on a USB stick. With these data we can now reproduce our migrated, driven or perhaps our sailed route on the computer.
