Leather Surface Measurement

Die Firma Hirsch erzeugt Uhrenarmbänder aus Leder. Nun soll ein neues Messsystem entwickelt werden, welches die Lederstreifen ausmisst. Ziel ist es mittels einer Allied Oscar Kamera, welche vorwiegend für Mikroskope und Augenbehandlungen benutzt, wird ein Bild des jeweiligen Lederstreifen aufzunehmen, welches in einem Visualisierungsprogramm verarbeitet wird um Länge und Breite des Lederstreifens zu ermitteln.Der Flächenverbrauch soll von LabView in einer Excel-Tabelle abgespeichert werden. Die Aufnahme eines Bildes des Lederstreifens erfolgt durch Betätigung eines Fusstasters.
Dieses Bild wird im Programm Vision Builder Lab View verarbeitet. Die Pixelanzahl kann in Millimeter umgerechnet werden und somit die Länge und Breite des Lederstreifens bestimmt werde. In LabView wird die Fläche der Lederstreifen ermittelt.

Our partner company Hirsch Armbänder generates watch bracelets from leather and is one of the world leader in this area. Now a new measuring system which measures out the leather stripes should be developed.

The job of this project is to take up a picture of the leather stripe with an Allied Oscar camera which is processed with a visualisation programme. The photo is taken up by activity of a foot tracer. The program determines the length and width of the leather stripe by the pixels. The number of pixels can be converted and the length and width of the leather strip will determined. After the area of the leather strip is determined with LabView. The surface consumption should been saved by LabView in an Excel table.
