Derzeit werden in Borkenkäferfallen Pheromone eingesetzt. Forschungsergebnisse haben gezeigt, dass die Borkenkäfer auch von Leds und Wärmequellen angelockt werden. Sowohl für die Leds als auch für Wärmefolien soll eine entsprechende Steuerelektronik entwickelt werden. Um die Geräte unabhängig von Batterien einsetzen zu können, wird eine Solarversorgung entwickelt und gebaut. Das wasserfeste Gehäuse mit der Elektronik wird im Fallenkörper integriert. Das Gerät soll nur bei Tageslicht aktiv sein. Realisiert wird das Projekt mit einem Mikrocontroller und den entsprechenden Sensoren. Die Spannungsversorgung erfolgt über einen Akku, der mit einer Solaranlage aufgeladen wird.

Currently, pheromones are used in bark beetle traps. Research has shown that the bark beetles are also being lured by leds and heat sources. For the LEDs as well as for the heat foils a corresponding control electronics needs to be developed. In order to be able to use the devices independently of batteries, a solar supply is developed and built. The water-resistant housing with the electronics is integrated into the trap body. The device should only be used at daytime. The project is realized with a microcontroller and the corresponding sensors. The power is supplied by a rechargeable battery that is charged with a solar system.
