Der Projektname lautet Sinneswürfel Cubito. Hierbei handelt es sich um einen Holzwürfel für körperlich beeinträchtigte Kinder. Auf jeder der sechs Seiten des Würfels ist ein anderes Spiel bzw. eine andere Lernübung. Die Kinder können sich selbst beschäftigen und die Lehrerin wird somit etwas entlastet. Die einzelnen Spiele sind leicht zu bedienen und fördern die Sinne der Kinder. Jeweils zwei Seiten werden auditiv gestaltet, eine andere wiederum visuell, und wieder eine andere fördert den Tastsinn. So können sie z.B. Tierstimmen erkennen, mit den Händen Töne erzeugen, ein sich bewegendes Laufband spüren und vieles mehr. Die Kinder sollen hiermit lernen, sich alleine zu beschäftigen und gleichzeitig dabei etwas zu lernen.
Since last year in september we have been working on this project. We are three very socially engaged students, so we want to help people with our project. Our search led us to a school for disabled children in Feldkirchen. The headmaster of the school was also excited about our idea to make a project together. So we had a meeting with her, one teacher and our adviser. Finally together we had the idea to make a cube made out of wood.
It’s a toy for disabled children, which should help them to train their senses and to do something alone. On every side of the cube is a simple game or a learning exercise that promotes the senses. The sides should train the listening, the watching, and the feeling. An example for a combination of listening and feeling is that they have to press a button and then they hear the voice of an animal. So you can see that the games are very simple but for the disabled children they are ambitious. There are different levels of difficulty because the children have also different abilities. For disabled people there are also safety precautions. So the corners of the cube must be round and we must use a special vannish for sealing because of the toxity of different vannish.
