The ground station of “Falcon Eye” consists a graphical user interface implemented by a model of a cockpit. The whole design was developed in cooperation with a pilot who’s flying single engine aircrafts.
The display is designed for usability and a simply administration.  A large part of the screen is conquered by the live broadcast of the drone’s camera.  Above the video’s place all relevant emergency lights are located.  The main instruments for artificial horizon, altimeter, airspeed indicator and compass are arranged on the right side.  The readouts are designed like you know them from real cockpits.  The battery charge conditions of the primary and secondary battery as well as their temperatures are constituted too.  Further instruments provide information about the consumed power of the engine regulator.
Also a map is located in the scope of the cockpit. By GPS support the current position is reported to the pilot. It’s possible to zoom in or set additional markers like the starting position. The autopilot setting’s control elements are arranged in the upper part of the display. By means of them it’s possible to set altitude, speed and heading.  Beside the visual feedbacks also sound effects are implemented.
